In June, me and one of my best friends Leonor got to visit New York for the week!
Since both of us had been to New York quite a few times before, we decided to skip all the typical touristy stuff and try some new sites!
Okay the first stop we made was pretty touristy but who wouldn't want to see the new exhibit at the Met, right? China: Through the Looking Glass was INCREDIBLE. I would definitely recommend it to anyone stopping by in the city. The exhibit held beautiful designer dresses from every big name possible, from YSL to Givenchy to Chanel and everything in between. Lovely lovely time. 10/10.
Next we swung by a popular tea spot in the area Alice's Teacup. The chain has three different locations in the city, each based on a different section of the timeless classic Alice in Wonderland. There we filled up on delicious scones, tea, sandwiches, and cookies. In fact, the spot was so good, we came back a second time for a brunch feast!
After some tea, we made our way to the Rockefeller estate, Kykuit. This massive home is comprised of about three or four buildings, a giant garden, and a beautiful view of the Hudson River. The wealthy Rockefellers even had an entire building dedicated to having fun - a huge playhouse complete with bowling allies and movie theatres! Talk about a party place, am I right?
Even the most well versed New Yorkers can't pass up a quick stop in Times Square. The lights, the people, the sounds - it's a sensory overload! There we picked up some tickets to see a new Broadway show, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, which was absolutely incredible I might add.
To round off our trip we headed to Long Beach for a sun-kissed getaway. We hit the waves for a few hours, and then treated ourselves to tacos and water ice. Absolute perfection.

Now if that didn't convince you to rediscover New York, I don't know what will.
Thanks for taking the time to read you guys. Until next time!
